The Campus

St Joseph’s College

is situated in the heart of Karachi. Its central location makes it easily accessible from all parts of the city. The College provides a conductive learning environment, offering appropriate sized and well-equipped classrooms, laboratories and library facilities. It also has extensive grounds that are used for sports and other events and activities.

Classrooms

The classrooms are large and airy. They are well lighted and ventilated. Some of them are equipped with computers, multimedia facilities and high speed internet to facilitate teaching and learning.

Laboratories

There are six science laboratories for the conduct of experiments in the subjects of chemistry, physics, botany, zoology and microbiology. All the laboratories are large, well ventilated and equipped.Today, the computer is seen as a tool for facilitating and supporting learning. For both these reasons, students are encouraged to use the computer. They use the computer and internet to gather information or prepare assignments. Students can take advantage of the computer and internet resources available in the computer laboratory and the library at the College.

Library

The Library at St. Joseph’s College includes an extensive and excellent collection of approximately 15,000 course and reference books on various subjects. In addition, it subscribes to academic and professional magazines and journals and daily and weekly newspapers and magazines in English and Urdu. It also has a growing collection of classical and contemporary fiction in English and Urdu. There is adequate study space for students to read or do assignments. There are computers with internet access for all students. Students are encouraged to use the library for research and study.

The College Ground

The College has spacious grounds on which all kinds of sporting activities and other events are conducted. Sheds all along the College walls provide space for students to congregate individually or in small groups to discuss, learn cooperatively or have some fun.
